Supernature is a non-fiction science magazine that explores the evolving interplay between the natural environment and human ingenuity in technological contexts. The magazine is inspired by Cerrone’s 1977 hit “Supernature,” a song that covers themes of environmentalism and the potential consequences of human interference with nature. The publication reflects this, exploring how emerging technologies reshape our perception of and interaction with the natural world and future of this climate. Through features and written pieces by designers, scientists, and enthusiasts, the magazine offers a range of perspectives on this relationship, aiming to illuminate the path forward and discover the potential consequences of this coexistence and interference.

The magazine incorporates a blend of futuristic visuals and traditional printing styles such as linoprints, designed to reflect this relationship between scientists and designers, the technological and the natural. The grid structure and typographic design of the magazine is stylised to reflect the themes of each article - the article titled ‘A.I., NFTs and whatnot: Is this the future of typography?’ is in a structured and rigid in it’s format, while the article on ‘Creatures That Don’t Conform’ pushes the boundaries of the same grid.
